Sight Word Assessment

It's the end of the term for me next week.  It's fast approaching and I realized I need to do my sight word assessment very soon.  So, of course I thought I'd share that assessment with all of you!  Because I teacher first grade, I assess all students on the first grade list at the beginning of the year.  Then, students who know all first 100 words are assessed on the second 100.  After that, I no longer assess on sight words.  The hope is that students are able to do the first 100 by the end of the second term, but I do have a few who I still need to assess at the end of the third term coming up.

Here are your FREEBIES

If you want an assessment for all 1000 words, you can get it here.

    1. Susan,

Thanks for your comment about my sight word assessments. You should only need a free Scribd account to download the documents. If you have any further trouble, please contact me and I'd be happy to get them to you.

  10. I really like the format of this. Is there reason why there are about 25 words the same on the first 100 and the second 100? It seems that there is a group of words missing from the second 100.

Thanks so much for pointing that out! You're the first one who has. I've updated the document and the links so they are available on my current site, www.dilly-dabbles.com. See the updated post above for the links. Thanks!

  13. Thank you I've used this assessment twice now and it is helpful to photo copy for my parents as well as me. Have you thought about creating a graph to go along with the sight words so students could chart their progress and goals?
